Raven Totem Pole by Herb Rice

The Raven Totem Pole has a simple, traditional elegance. It is 4' tall carved in natural red pine and covered in linseed oil.

In Herb's Coast Salish culture, the raven represents the Trickster or the Teacher. Whether we see it as the Trickster or the Teacher depends upon whether or not we have learned from our past experiences.

This totem is in a the Goodman collection in Toronto, Ont. Cn. The totem and the interpretation are the creation of the artist, Herb Rice.
